Every Saturday (as long as I can keep up with myself) Modest Mongoose is going to feature a retailer that has impressed upon us in one way another. Usually it will be for trying to overcome social norms and offering what geeky parents are looking for in a world lacking.
Today we're pleased to feature Princess Awesome.
Rebecca and Eva are the founders of Princess Awesome whose main goal was to provide girls with dresses in styles that weren't typically found in stores. Dinosaurs, ninjas, atoms, and pirates. Girls are into these things, not just barbies and tea parties. Eva and Rebecca both recognized there was a major hole in the market that needed to be filled. An extremely successful Kickstarter Campaign late last year helped them both get the jump start they needed to provide these dress options to customers world wide. Later this year they will be expanding their line to Busy Dresses in planes, trains, and motor vehicles.
Their dresses are comfy and vibrant. Our's has seen many washings and the colours continue to last through my daughter's hard play while wearing it. We can't wait for when our busy dress gets here later this year!
It's exciting to watch where this business is going and we can't wait to see what they come up with next. Maybe space ships? Or perhaps some knights, spare us the princesses, we want to compete in the Tournaments too! I have it on good authority that Eva is as much of a Ren Faire geek as I am! ;)
